Radiation Safety Course

Dr. Salatino offers Dental Board of California Approved radiation safety courses in Rocklin, California, for two Saturdays a month at Rockstar Family Dental. There are 12 spots per class, which consists of 32 hours of course work. This class meets with the California Dental Board and goes over didactic and clinical applications of X-ray use for dental assistants seeking to become X-ray certified. The class costs $650, which cannot be refunded due to limited availability.

This two-weekend radiation safety course meets the California Dental Board standards for operating radiographic equipment in the State of California (approval number x925). The course involves a didactic and clinical application of X-ray safety, both digital and film processing, as well as radiographic evaluation. The course is ideal for dental personnel such as dental assistants and prospective registered dental assistants who would like to become X-ray certified in the state of California. The course includes course material and patient experience with the following radiographs: Bitewing, Full-Mouth Series (FMX), and Orthopantomography (Panoramic). Please call for more details.
